"EDIFICE WRECKS" is a registered trademark belonging to Edifice Wrecking Co., Inc., a Massachusetts Corporation. The name is a pun on the name "OEDIPUS REX", a very famous Greek Trilogy by Sophacles about a son whose fate has him inadvertently murder his father and then marry his mother. Sigmund Freud, 1910, a very popular and famous doctor in the field of Psychoanalysis and the studies of the mysteries of the mind, cites a son's Oedipus Complex as one of the major adjustments a male child has to make regarding competition with his father for the love of his mother. Our trademark "EDIFICE WRECKS" along with its symbol appears on our demolition equipment, work gear, sweatshirts, tees, hats, jackets, polo shirts, etc. It has been lauded, by many, as perhaps, the "Best" Business logo ever created. So, we are a demolition company with a superlatively creative name whose work is executed in the field on small barns and garages to high-rise buildings and bridges with the same thought care and execution as was done in the creation of our name. |
